Explaining the Stock Market’s Wild Ride
Just before the closing bell, the DOW plunged almost 1600 points. It was the biggest point decline in history during a trading day. Eventually, the DOW closed still 1175 points down, the worst closing point decline on record. Monday’s drop was nowhere close to the destruction on Black Monday in 1987 or the financial crisis of 2008 but it was alarming for investors who were used to the steady upward climb since election day. The DOW gained 567 points back on Tuesday.
Radio Host Sully Sullivan joined Carlos Amezcua on Good Morning San Diego to explain what this means and if the market will continue to fluctuate.
