Paul Bloom
Paul Bloom joined the KUSI NEWS team in September of 1994. Raised in New York, he started his broadcast journalism career while he was a student at Syracuse University, working as a news reporter for radio station WFBL. After graduating from Syracuse, he moved to New York City and joined WPIX-TV, where he was an award-winning investigative reporter, and then a news anchor.
In 1977, he moved to San Diego to become a news anchor for KNSD-TV. In the mid-1980’s, Paul was the anchorman for KHJ-TV in Los Angeles before returning to San Diego. He has been a licensed private pilot since 1981, and flies single-engine Piper aircraft out of Gillespie Field. Paul has won twelve Emmy Awards and the San Diego Press Club’s Harold Keen Award for Lifetime Achievement, and is a member of the San Diego Silver Circle of the Television Academy. |
