John Soderman is in his 20th year of television news. He joined KUSI in December of 1999. John began his journalism career in Redding, California and was reporting news in Los Angeles 15 years later.

Prior to his broadcast career, John played three years of professional baseball with the Oakland A’s as a pitcher. He also pitched for the California Angels’ farm system. John worked as an Orange County police officer for three years and served two years in the Marine Corps. He is currently the drummer in the popular Motown Band, “The Corvelles.”
