Bomb threat prompts closure of trolley station in Old Town
OLD TOWN (KUSI) — A bomb threat prompted the closure of the trolley station Thursday night in the Old Town section of San Diego, according to the San Diego Police Department.
According to police, an MTS K9 alerted staff members to something suspicious in a trash can near Pacific Highway and Taylor Street in Old Town.
At about 9:40 p.m., the San Diego Fire-Rescue Metro Arson Strike Team was called to the scene to further investigate.
San Diego police tweeted the parking lot at the Old Town Transit Center would be closed until the scene was completely cleared.
