Oceanside High quarterback Israel "Tofi" Paopao, just over a week after guiding the Pirates to the CIF San Diego Section Division II title, Tuesday was named the Prep Pigskin Report's Silver Pigskin Player of the Year for 2012. The announcement was made during the annual Silver Pigskin Gala at the San Diego Hall of Champions in Balboa Park. Paopao beat out a stellar group of athletes, including Madison's Pierre Cormier, who finished second.More>>
