The Small School Game of the Week in Week 2 of the Prep Pigskin Report and the first game of the Honor Bowl ended with a win for the Christian High Patriots 62-6 over the Boron Bobcats. The Grossmont Foothillers (1-1) were looking to rebound after their loss to Bishop’s to open the season, and they were indeed able to right the ship after the took the victory at home against the Olympian Eagles (1-1) 37-21 thanks to an impressive showing from their offense and timely defensive stands. Both teams both teams left everything on the field, and in the end the contest was decided by a mere three points. Friday night’s matchup takes us out to Kearny High School where the Komets are hosting the El Cajon Valley Braves. The game started off with its own type of fireworks on the opening kickoff, when the El Cajon Valley Braves forced a fumble and returned it for a touchdown. The Braves then converted a 2-pt conversion that put them up eight to zero early in the game. The Braves continued with dominate play by scoring two separate touchdowns one via air and another from the ground.
