SDG&E says power outages may come in order to prevent wildfires
With the extreme heat, SDG&E is making sure its power lines don't start a wildfire.
An SDG&E spokesperson said the utility is monitoring the situation. If the heat and wind reach certain levels, they will begin to cut power to avoid having a power line spark a fire, similar to what happened in 2007.
SDG&E wants customers to know they need to be prepared for possible outages.
