Heart attack patient visits heroes who saved his life
A Clairemont man who suffered a heart attack visits the heroes who saved his life.
In June, Frans Vanleeuwen went into cardiac arrest and was unable to breathe. A family member called 911 and began CPR until paramedics arrived. The crew continued CPR compressions the entire way to the hospital.
Vanleeuwen survived the ordeal and visited Station 36 Monday with his family to say "thank you" for saving his life.
