Turko Helps Find Missing Settlement Money
Thursday, April 10, 2008 - KUSI's Michael Turko got quick results for a Grandmother and Grand-Daughter after a courthouse mystery. But Turko says the mystery has been lingering for more than a decade, and may never be truly solved.
It all started when a young girl won a judgment in a small claims court back in the mid nineties. The court was supposed to hold her money, but she never got it. After ten years the records of small claims cases are destroyed. Her Grandmother kept copies of the paperwork, and when Turko contacted court officials, they had the same question as everyone else. Where's the money? |
