Turko Investigates A Wildfire Insurance Holdup
Wednesday, April 23, 2008 - A Ramona couple called KUSI's Michael Turko, when their plans to rebuild their home ran into a major roadblock. Turko says their house was destroyed in last October's wildfires, and they've been battling their mortgage company ever since.
They got out with a few cherished mementos, their pets and their lives. They were devastated, but they had good insurance that paid off right away. That was a big relief, until their mortgage company got hold of the money and wouldn't let it go. Now they say they're stuck between a rock and a hard place! |
