Health Insurance Policies Falling Apart
Wednesday, April 29, 2009 - Two weeks ago, KUSI's Michael Turko exposed an insurance trust that left a desperate patient in a real jam. Now Turko says the plan is being canceled by Kaiser Permanente, and at least 50 more patients could lose their health coverage.
It's now official, dozens of Kaiser Permanente members are having their health insurance terminated. That's because they got their insurance from flaky brokers who invented a group insurance pool that didn't meet legal requirements. My investigation shows those brokers played fast and loose with federal regulations, and kept collecting premiums until the whole plan fell apart. |
