Hope Returns To Health Care Victim
Wednesday, May 6, 2009 - Last month KUSI's Michael Turko exposed a bogus group insurance plan that fell apart and left dozens of people with no health coverage. Tonight, Turko revisits the family that blew the whistle on that plan in the first place, and things are finally looking up.
When I opened this case a sixty-two year old woman who's legally blind and has diabetes was slipping away in despair. She was about to lose her health insurance, and the care that insurance plan provided was the only thing keeping her alive. But now things are looking up, and she got back what she really needed more than anything else. Once again, she has hope! |
