Turko Exposes City's Failure to Communicate
Thursday, May 7, 2009 - San Diego city officials are scrambling to deal with a big mess exposed by KUSI's Michael Turko. Two days ago, Turko showed us how the city spent two million dollars on a skate park that no one's supposed to use.
The skate park was shut down for repairs in january, and never reopened. The park department didn't realize dozens of skaters are still using it. The mayors office didn't know the repairs never even got started. And while some police officers were writing tickets for trespassing, others were telling community groups to send their kids there. What we have here is a monstrous failure to communicate! |
