Turko Investigates A Pedi-Cab Ripoff
Monday, May 11, 2009 - KUSI's Michael Turko is getting a lot of complaints about pedi-cabs in downtown San Diego. Turko says city officials have been trying to regulate the pedi-cab business for years, but often the rules are simply ignored.
Pedi-cab operators provide a public service and do it with no pollution and no carbon footprint. That's the good news. But the bad news is a lot of them make their living ripping off tourists and downtown visitors. They charge whatever they want, and seem to think they can do whatever they please. It ain't right! |
