Wall Demolished and Mosque Finished
Monday, May 18, 2009 - Here's a deal where the county could have worked out a compromise for all concerned, but public works bureaucrats just couldn't see it. They wanted to put in a guard rail to protect drivers. but they can't do that without the homeowners consent, because it would block the only access to his land. So instead of giving him better access, they ordered him to tear down a wall he built along the road. And when he refused, they had it demolished!
Much better results to report on a case I opened fifteen months ago. After a string of bad experiences with shifty contractors, a local mosque is finally getting the attention it needs. And it's been almost completely rebuilt. And in this case it wasn't a good samaritan who heard about the problem and stepped up to the plate, it was a good Muslim! |
