Unmarked Graves Honored
Monday, June 1, 2009 - Back in January, KUSI's Michael Turko opened a file on a run-down, abandoned cemetery called Mount Olivet. Turko says it's the final resting place of war veterans going back to the early nineteen-hundreds, and now they're finally getting the honor they deserve.
Most of us celebrated Memorial Day on the day it's officially observed one week ago, but the actual day itself was this past Saturday. And that's when a special group of veterans got together to honor forgotten service members buried in the South Bay. And to celebrate the big changes underway after I exposed a weed covered lot filled with unmarked graves! |
