Skate Park Re-Opens
July 1, 2009 - When KUSI's Michael Turko exposed a San Diego skate park project that was going nowhere, city officials got busy. They promised they'd get the park re-opened by the fourth of July weekend. Now Turko says they beat that deadline.
What we have here is a city project that feel through the cracks, and dropped off the radar. The park was closed for repairs for five months, but nothing got done. After I opened a file on the case and contacted the mayors office, things turned around in a hurry. Several city departments worked together to make it happen, and ended up using the skaters solution! |
