Noisy Nuisance For Bayside Elementary
Monday, August 17, 2009 - Some South Bay teachers tell KUSI's Michael Turko they have an unusual problem on their hands. Turko says they've been assigned to classrooms right next door to a noisy recycling yard run by the city.
Today was the first day of school in Imperial Beach, and some brand new first graders walked into an ugly situation. Their portable classrooms are right on the edge of the school grounds, and just a few feet away from an industrial recycling lot. Teachers say it's a constant distraction, a noisy, nerve wracking nuisance, and a monument to poor planning and broken promises. |
