Waiting For Wrongful Ticket Refund

Tuesday, August 18, 2009 - A retired senior citizen called KUSI's Michael Turko when he couldn't get a refund from the city of San Diego. Turko says the money is a parking fine he paid last year, before he was able to get the ticket dismissed in court.

In order to fight a parking ticket in court, you have to pay the fine first. I've told you before how I feel about that, I think it's unfair and un-American. But that's the law. Now here's a guy who paid his fine, then took his parking ticket to court and won! It took him over six months, but a judge finally ruled in his favor. That was back in June, but he still doesn't have his money back. It ain't right!
