Encinitas Plants Flammable Pines In Fire Risk Area
Wednesday, September 16, 2009 - An Encinitas homeowner called KUSI's Michael Turko about a fire safety issue behind her home. Turko says the problem was caused by the city, and now city officials trying to explain it.
The City of Encinitas recently planted hundreds of highly flammable pine trees right behind dozens of homes in a designated fire danger zone. It's part of a development plan that should have been scrapped years ago. But somehow, until now, no one noticed! |
