Homeowners Association Ignores Hazardous Brush Problem
Tuesday, September 22, 2009 - Neighbors who live on a brushy canyon called KUSI's Michael Turko when a fire hazard grew out of control. Turko says they're dealing with dangerous dry brush and a homeowners association that's ignoring the problem.
Fire officials are telling everyone it's extremely important to maintain one hundred feet of defensible space around your home. That means thinning the brush, clearing out dead leaves and limbs, and trimming trees. But here's a case where a homeowners association refuses to do that, and they won't even let the homeowners do it themselves! It ain't right! |
