It may sound like a good deal, but getting plastic surgery in another country may not be safe.

Certified Plastic Surgeon Dr. Robert Singer was on Good Morning San Diego Monday morning to talk about the dangers patients could face when getting work done abroad.

Dr. Singer says there are tremendous risks when it comes to sanitation, and who is doing the surgery and follow-up.

He said it is far easier to avoid a problem than it is to fix a problem.
