Advocates for the homeless are passing along some disturbing new figures. The number of homeless people who die on our streets has taken a sharp jump.

On Wednesday night, the San Diego Rescue Mission held a special vigil to pay respects to those who've died. KUSI's John Soderman was live in the East Village with the sobering story.
