Spring Valley attempted kidnapping suspect still at large
One man is the suspect in three separate attempted kidnappings of small children in Spring Valley.
All three crimes happened in just the past 24 hours.

The 11-year-old whom we are not identifying for her safety was on her way to school walking alone in her Spring Valley neighborhood when she was approached by a man who seemed to know all too much about her. Kelly Gleeson a mother of a young middle school aged girl was shocked to learn the news in the same parking lot where sheriff's deputies learned of the crime. It was at this 7-11 on Jamacha and Grand where the victim met with sheriff's deputies. "It's frightening, it's frightening. and why is this man still here?" "We're investigating the first case from yesterday morning and then we discovered a second yesterday morning as well and then a third case that occurred this early morning also." "He's watching the girls as they're walking along and he selects them and actually tries to get the girls to come over to the van." "Each one of these incidents happened in the same area of Jamacha road and Grand Avenue in Spring Valley. and also in each case the sheriff's department says the victims did the right thing." Hispanic, about 40 years old, with a goatee and short, unkempt hair. He drives a late-model dark-colored mini-van with dents and scratches. It's a description this victim will never forget.
