Search For Brittany Hart Continues
Sunday, June 10, 2007 -- Brittany Hart's family and friends met this morning to continue searching for Brittany. Volunteers are spending a second day combing the Sweetwater Regional Park in Bonita.

She was last seen in Santee on May 14th when she put gas in her gray Ford Ranger pickup truck. The license plate number is 6M91555. Please contact police if you have any information about her whereabouts.

40-year old Robert Carson is being charged with her murder even though Brittany's body has not been found. Carson pleaded not guilty in court on Friday... He was also denied bail. Prosecutors say he has a criminal history that dates back to 1987 when he was convicted of rape, sentenced to six years in prison, and required to register as a sex offender.

Police arrested Carson on Tuesday. He was out on a $50,000 bail in a separate case for allegedly evading a police officer and driving under the influence of drugs. Prosecutors say there is evidence showing a cell phone conversation between Carson and 24-year old Hart just before she went missing and a grim discovery in the basement of Carson's home.
