Tuesday, August 28, 2007 -- A "Save KLSD" effort is launched after organizers learned that Clear Channel is once again considering changing the station's format to sports talk.

The group says that San Diego already has two sports talk stations and plenty of conservative radio programming, but no other progressive point of view, which some people would call liberal talk radio.

According to a Clear Channel spokesperson, the company has received 900 e-mails after word spread of the possible change in format. The decision is not yet final.
