Serving overseas can be tough for American troops. While on duty, Medic Lachlan Oliver and his friends turned to desserts for an escape.

Oliver said losing one of his fellow combatants, who happened to love sweets, inspired him to do something different with his life when he got back to the United States.

He's teamed up with a professional chef and began "Heaven Sent" Dessert Cafe, where they make elegantly decorated cakes, fresh baked cookies and other tasty treats.
