FDA Lifts Ban on Silicone Breast Implants
After being banned for 14 years, silicone breast implants are making a comeback. Certified Plastic Surgeon Dr. Robert Singer joined "Good Morning San Diego" to talk about the benefits and risks of silicone implants and why the FDA lifted the ban.
The silicone breast implants were banned after some women complained they leaked and made them sick. But research over the past decade has found no convincing evidence that the implants are connected with diseases.
