"Born Dirty"
Saturday, April 21, 2007 - KUSI's Auto Expert Dave Stall introduced us to a company who's trying to preserve the land at Ocotillo Wells for off-roading.
"Born Dirty" brings products into the off road and motocross market. One of their missions is to support the San Diego off road organizations which focus on saving our desert land. Desiree Bates, Born Dirty president, was here with some toys and talk about what her company does to help save the desert . BLM wants lease up to 40,000 acres of desert land in Ocatillo Wells for geothermal testing. The company has hired lawyers and lobbyists who are trying to access this land for their use. Born Dirty is not against alternative energy use, but would like to preserve the land that they use for off-roading. To watch the interview, click on the video icon above. |
