• Meet the Candidate: Only a few more weeks until the primary election. KUSI is continuing to bring in the candidates running in your area. This morning Marshall Merrifield will join us with more on his race for San Diego City Council District 1.         
• Appalachian Trail Expedition Fundraiser: Musician David Patrone is stepping away from the mic to trek 2,000 miles over the Appalachian Mountains to raise money for at-risk youth here in San Diego.  David Patrone and Joe Sigurdsson from Boys to Men will be here to tell us how this journey will help so many of our youth.   
• Cars for Kids Show: It is a car show to benefit kids.  KUSI car guy Dave Stall and CEO of CA Coast Credit Union will be here to tell us about an event this weekend to help out Rady Children's Hospital. 
• Jackie Joyner-Kersee: Living with Asthma:  She was named the "Greatest Athlete of the 20th Century" by Sports Illustrated for Women.  Olympian Jackie Joyner-Kersee will join us with pharmacist Ron Erkens to talk about living with asthma.     
• Third Avenue's Cinco de Mayo Festival: They're getting an early start on Cinco de Mayo.  Greg Mattson, President of Third Avenue Association, will be here to tell us more about this weekend's celebration!  
• "Paws to Celebrate":  They are commemorating 70 years of support and compassion for the well-being of animals and people. Director of Development and Public Programs, Michele Brown, will be here to talk more about the North County Humane Society and SPCA "Paws to Celebrate."

AROUND TOWN:

• Rod Luck will be in Pt. Loma, checking out U.S. Karate Academy.
• Rod will then go to Kearny Mesa to visit with the folks from The Arc of San Diego.
