Surviving a Divorce:  Author, Max Sindell has experienced a divorce firsthand.  His parents divorced when he was six years old.  He is the author of  "The Bright Side: Surviving Your Parents Divorce."  He joined us with tips on how children can cope with a divorce. Helen Woodward Animal Center:  The Helen Woodward Animal Center brought in Lucy.  She is a 2 month old Labrador Retriever/Shepherd mix.  Right now she is 8 pounds, but when she is fully grown she will be between 50 to 65 pounds.  For more information, click here.

Latino Film Festival:  In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, Media Arts Center and Otay Ranch Town Center bring you the best of shot and feature family films from Mexico.  Ethan Van Thillo from Media Arts Center joined us to talk about "Que Via! Cine Mexicano."  The event features free films for all ages.  Screenings will take place on September 19th and 26th from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.  To learn more about the event, click here.

Firehouse Brewery:  The first annual 9/11 concert is taking place today from 3:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Liberty Station. Local bands and DJ's will help raise money for the heroes and victims of 9/11.  Jennifer Alexander from The Firehouse Foundation joined us to talk about the event which will feature lots of food, beverages and raffle prizes.
