Dog from Iraq Set to Call San Diego Home
A dog who has a special bond with a marine overseas will soon be making San Diego his home. 36-year-old Major Bryan Dennis, based in San Diego, first encountered the mixed breed dog in Al-Anbar province. The dog was badly abused, and Dennis made it his mission to get it to safety. Through an e-mail campaign, Dennis raised $3,000 to help Nubs (the name Dennis gave to the dog). Nubs is now on his way to San Diego, scheduled to arrive on Thursday.
