Political icon Herb Klein passes away at 91
After a long and successful career that carried him from the top of Capitol Hill to the White House, political icon Herb Klein died Thursday at the age of 91.
Herb Klein appeared in the KUSI newsroom countless times, adding depth to a wide range of national, state and local issues. Klein was the communications director for President Nixon from 1969 to 1973, and stood by the former president from his early days in congress through his days in the Oval Office. He moved on from the Nixon administration but he didn't leave the world of communications, spending more than 20 years as the editor-in-chief of the Copley Press.
