Pigskin Idol is a one-of-a-kind opportunity for student sportscasters to make their TV debuts live on the PPR. Every year our Pigskin Idol coordinator wades through hundreds of applications in hopes of finding the 14 best “Idols." Each Friday, the selected student goes to a game with our Idol Photographer and Idol Field Producer. Together they videotape the entire game, and then conduct post-game interviews. The crew returns to KUSI where together they edit the game highlights and write the script. When the clock strikes 11:10, the Idol is front of the camera reading the highlights live on the PPR.
