Allen Denton grew up in Tennessee but headed for the west coast several years ago. As an Emmy-award winning journalist, Allen joined KUSI in 2009. He currently co-anchors the 6pm and 10pm Newscast. Prior to San Diego he anchored the 6pm and 11pm Newscast at KNTV the NBC O & O in the San Francisco market. Through out his career as a broadcast journalist, Allen has won several Emmy's and Associated Press Awards. He was also honored with the prestigious Edward R. Murrow award for his work on a documentary about the 9/11 Disaster.

Allen and his wife Mary Jo live in La Jolla, where he enjoys spending time at the beach and watching college football and basketball.
