San Diego native, Kerri Lane, commits her mornings to bringing you up-to-date traffic reports to help you plan your morning commute. Wake up with her infectious smile and boundless energy.
While speeds on the freeways max out at 65mph, Kerri is no stranger to an 80mph fastball in the batting cages. Being a sports fanatic and proud Chargers and Padres fan, she feeds her addiction by also reporting for San Diego's most prestigious high school football show, KUSI's "Prep Pigskin Report." She started in 2008 and covers the "City Game of the Week." Each Friday night she delivers highlights and postgame interviews.
In 2008, Kerri was the sports director, anchor and reporter for Palomar College's Emmy-winning show "Prep Sports Live" on Cox and Time Warner Cable. She also has reported traffic, news and weather for radio station KSON.
Kerri is a 2009 graduate of San Diego State University, majoring in Journalism with a minor in Communications.
When Kerri's not working, she loves spending time with family, friends and playing fetch with her Jack Russell, Bailey. While no American Idol, she enjoys singing in her car. Simon would most likely say keep the windows up and the volume on full blast.
