Thursday, December 8, 2011 - KUSI's Michael Turko has been looking into a plan to raise electric rates for homeowners with solar power systems. SDG&E claims they want to level the playing field, but Turko says his investigation shows that may not be the case at all.
The power company says all of us are paying extra because homeowners with solar panels are using their system for free. So they want to start charging those solar customers an extra fee of about twenty two dollars a month. But that won't reduce anyone else's rates, oh no! They don't want to charge us less, they just want to charge them more!
