Wednesday, February 22, 2012 - He called KUSI's Michael Turko when he was left with a stump where his right leg used to be. Turko says he had health coverage, but after amputating his leg, they're now refusing to pay for an artificial replacement.
Here's a guy who's self employed and has to pay top dollar for individual health care coverage. Last fall his doctors had to remove his leg, that was covered under his health care plan. But he says no one told him they wouldn't pay for a new prosthetic leg until after his old one was removed. Now he's being told his policy doesn't cover that, so he's out of luck!
