Auto show kicks off Thursday

SAN DIEGO (CNS) - All things automotive will be showcased at the San Diego International Auto Show (SDIAS), which begins Thursday.

The four-day event at the San Diego Convention Center, 111 W. Harbor Drive, features more than 400 2013 vehicles from 36 manufacturers, including high-end sports and luxury cars.

SDIAS is described as the largest Southern California auto show under one roof.

"Our first goal is to offer the widest array of vehicles for a quality consumer experience," said Kevin Leap, show director."We also want to ensure that the show is a place that San Diegans can spend an enjoyable day with the family in a non-selling, no-pressure environment. We think visitors will be pleased with the variety of exhibits and entertainment options."

Auto show hours are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday.

Admission is $12 for those 13 and older, $9 for military and seniors over age 62, $8 for children ages 7 to 12 and free for children age 6 and under. Children 12 and under are free on Mazda Family Day on Sunday when accompanied by a paid adult.
