Monday, March 18, 2013 - Late last month KUSI's Michael Turko exposed a catering company that never paid workers at the Farmers Open. Chalk-up another one in the win column tonight. Turko says those workers have now been paid in full. It's estimated that the Farmers Open brings in over twenty million bucks to the local economy. It's run by the non-profit Century Club and this year the golf tournament helped them raise over two million dollars for charity.
Much less impressive results to report on a more recent case regarding a lawsuit to prevent a private meeting of the Public Utilities Commission this week. Turko showed you how the commissioners want to meet privately with local big shots in La Jolla, however for the second time in a row the judge hearing the challenge to that meeting decided to step back and punt!
