Fall semester underway at several San Diego colleges
SAN DIEGO (KUSI) - Classes were back underway Monday across the county, as San Diego State and several community colleges began their fall semesters.
13,000 new students will begin classes at SDSU, with 8,500 undergraduates and additional transfer and graduate students. The incoming freshman class, according to the school, has an average GPA of 3.69.
The San Diego Community College District, which includes San Diego City, Mesa, and Miramar colleges, will welcome more than 53,000 students to their campuses. Classes are already currently underway at Grossmont, Cuyamaca and Palomar colleges.
Cal State San Marcos will start their fall semester next week, with Point Loma Nazarene starting on September 1 and USD on September 2. UC San Diego will begin their fall quarter on September 24.
