SAN DIEGO (KUSI) - Senator Joel Anderson confirmed Thursday live on KUSI, that he is running for the San Diego County Board of Supervisors against incumbent Dianne Jacob.
"There's a reason why I've been walking precincts every weekend. There's a reason why I've raised $270,000 in the supervisors race. I know that my opponent likes to say that I'm not running, but everybody in my district knows I'm running."
Sen. Anderson confirmed this while hosting his annual legislative open house Thursday night in El Cajon.
The purpose of the open house every year is to meet with his constituents and hear what ideas they have for new legislation.
"I believe that we deserve the very best. I believe that our children have a right to live in our community and have career paths and opportunity for work ... and I believe that we can achieve that," he said.
