Chargers fans remain optimistic the team will stay in San Diego

Posted: Updated:

MISSION VALLEY (KUSI) - Chargers fans gathered in Mission Valley Wednesday to push for keeping the team in San Diego.

It was a sea of gold and blue at the Tilted Kilt in Mission Valley as hundreds showed up for the die-hard Bolts fan rally.

Bolts fans of all ages came out to support the Chargers.

The Tilted Kilt in Mission Valley was taken over by San Diegans who want the Chargers to stay. Most of them came with a simple message for Chairman Dean Spanos, the Bolts belong in America's finest city.

Former Chargers player Billy Ray Smith supports Dean Spanos, as long as his decision involves a new stadium.

Mighty 1090 Radio Host Scott Kaplan was pulling double duties at the rally and told KUSI he was impressed by the amount of fans that showed up to show their support.

Chargers Chairman Dean Spanos is expected to make a decision over the next couple of weeks.
