The San Diego Chargers Rookie class of 2016 was introduced to the veterans on Monday afternoon in week three of OTA's.
Chargers 1st round draft pick Joey Bosa out Ohio State impressed the rest of the defensive line with his football acumen.
"He has so much talent, this guy is definitely a future Pro Bowler," said nose tackle Brandon Mebane."It's unreal. I was telling guys, there's more talent on this defense than in Seattle. If you look at the draft, you've got four first-round draft picks. You've got five second-round draft picks, all total on defense. In Seattle, we only had two first rounders and one second rounder. Everybody else was pretty much down in the draft or undrafted."
And Mebane knows defense, in his nine years in the league with Seattle he saw the Seahawks become the golf standard in what defenses are measured by.
Now the pressure is on Chargers defensive coordinator John Pagano to make all of that talent shine on the field. Pagano is known for making the most out of his talent that he has to work with.
And if the Chargers expect to compete in the AFC West they are going to have to play better than average defense.
