The Week Ten South Bay Game of the Week features the San Ysidro Cougars(3-5) hosting the Castle Park Trojans (1-7). Before the game Trojan Head Coach Hans Graham remarks on how this will not be an easy game and that his players will have to contain running sensation Daishawn Lee. "He's good," quipped Graham. Those words become prophetic because on the first play from scrimmage San Ysidro's Daishawn Lee gallops 70 yards to give the Cougars the lead. Minutes later Lee takes it in for a three-yard touchdown scamper. The Trojans get on the board when Quarterback Eleazar Cruz throws a perfect pass to Jose Rodriguez. In the second quarter Daishawn Lee pulls off a dazzling 80-yard touchdown...his third score of the night...to make it 21-6 Cougars. In the third Quarterback Cruz throws his second touchdown pass of the game...this time to Isaac Zavala...to put the Trojans within seven of the Cougars. In the fourth quarter the Trojans score again...same combo...Cruz to Zavala to make it 21-20 Cougars. Castle Park goes for the two-point conversion to try and take the lead and win the game but it's no good. San Ysidro takes it 21-20 and for the first time in its history is eligible to win the league title. A note of interest...the PPR has misidentified number 2, Daishawn Lee or mispronounced his name several times this year. Our Pigskin-vestigation has revealed some rosters showing a completely different name for number 2. On the PRE-PPR we called his mother in Michigan and apologized....as the PPR isn't afraid of a little 'Pigskin Penance.' Make sure to catch all of the highlights of next week's South Bay Game of the Week at about 10:31 Friday night...and remember the PPR is now ninety minutes long! Most importantly...thanks for watching!
The Week 10 South Bay Game of the Week features the San Ysidro Cougars (3-5) hosting the Castle Park Trojans (1-7).
Castle Park has not had an easy year but the team managed to pull off its first victory over Southwest last week. It was a big win for the Trojans as it happened on Homecoming. The reason this is being brought up is because the Trojans are probably pretty fired up, having followed Coach Hans Graham's dictum of "Will over skill" as he is a great motivator.
Offensively the Trojans are lead by Quarterback Anthony Rodriguez who has amassed the most rushing and passing yards.
On defense Charles Tolbert has been a real leader in the tackling department.
San Ysidro's Daishawn Lee is a force to be reckoned with. Last week he had a great pick-six against Montgomery. The problem is the PPR has misidentified him or mispronounced his name, something his grandmother in Michigan brought to our attention as she watches the PPR on-line. Grandma Lee, rest assured yours truly, Soderbro, will make amends this Friday during the PPR Pre-Show for what has happened. Our Pigskin-vestigation has revealed your grandson (No. 2) is showing a completely different name on some of the rosters given to us.
Make sure to catch all of the highlights of this game at 10:3 Friday night, and remember the PPR is now 90 minutes long!
