West Hills Wolf Pack 10, Bonita Vista 27

The Bonita Vista Barons pulling off the upset of six seeded West Hills in the first round of the Division two playoffs by a score of 27-10.

The Barons hit the ground running scoring on their very first possession, a 38 yard hook up from Anthony Posada to Keenan Ellis. The duo would score again on a 70 yard touchdown later in the first quarter.

The Wolf Pack struggled to capitalize off of turnovers in the first half. Coming up empty after fumble recovery and settling for field goal after the Jake Hallahan interception that placed them on the 15 yard line. In the fourth quarter the defense came up with a big 4th down stop as well but it was too much to overcome the Bonita Vista offense.

The Barons were able to get good yardage on the ground. In the second quarter a Robert Cota 79 yard scamper led to a touchdown run by Dean Klaser. Josh Godfrey also ran for a big pick up in the 4th quarter. The score that put the game out of reach was a Posada pass to Jake Rozar.

Next up for Bonita Vista they will travel to face the three seeded El Capitan. West Hills ends the year 5-6.

Week 12 featuring a Division Two opening round match between Bonita Vista and six seeded West Hills.

The Wolf Pack is led by junior quarterback Hayden Roach. Roach gets it done in the air and on the ground with a total ten touchdowns on the year. His top target is Ryan Jewell who has three touchdown catches this year. Seniors Jovan Bea and Griffin Guinn have combined for over 1,000 yards on the ground. The Wolf Pack defense has seven interceptions on the season. They finished the regular season on a three game losing streak that they hope to snap this week.

Bonita Vista sneaks into the playoff as an eleven seen on a two game win streak. Many of their losses were top top teams around the county like Helix, Poway and Madison. They are led by senior quarterback Anthony Posada. Posada with 1,874 yards and 21 touchdown tosses in the regular season. Keenan Ellis and Jacob Rozar have been his top targets with ten touchdowns between them. The team also leans on senior Dean Klaser who has three rushing touchdowns on the year.
