On Friday I was the PPR Pigskin Idol of the Week, and it was such an amazing experience. Usually, I watch football games from the field as a cheerleader for Scripps Ranch High School, but last night I got to watch Santana play Coronado with my family in the stands. It was SO cold but definitely fun, especially since my brother had just gotten home from UT Austin for Thanksgiving break. Alyssa and Travis were there from PPR to help me through the whole process and give me directions, ultimately making me as confident as possible.
I was able to interview the Renovation Realty Idol Player of the game, Bobby Wallace, and ask him about shattering three school records in one night! Then, we headed back to the studio and I got to practice all of my lines. Then, it was showtime! My family was sitting in the studio cheering me on, and Paul Rudy was very easy to talk with on the show. I was so glad he gave me an opportunity to talk about my homeless outreach club at SRHS and I just hope it motivates some people to get their communities involved.
Overall, I had a great time as the PPR Pigskin Idol of the Week. Alyssa was so much fun to work with and her easy-going personality definitely instilled confidence in me. Thank you Prep Pigskin Report for allowing me to do this!
