This week three matchup put the Bonita Vista Barons traveling to Madison to face the Warhawks. Madison looked like the defending state champions. The Warhawks started the game with a blocked punt, and recovered for a Touchdown. On Madison’s next drive, Kenan Christon broke off a 45 yard touchdown run, which featured a broken tackle and a beautiful spin move. Madison continued their scoring with a score on defense. Chris Fatilua came off the edge and hit Bonita Vista’s Franklin Forbes. He fumbles in the end zone and the ball is recovered by Fatilua for a Madison touchdown. At the end of the first quarter Madison’s Mario Rodriguez dropped back and hit Ke’ontae Springs for a 49 yard touchdown. The Warhawks went on to win 56 to 6.
Madison looks like a team that will be competitive for another state title. The Warhawks are competitive on both sides of the football, and have many key players stepping up. Junior Kenan Christon finished the game with 3 carries for 66 yards and one touchdown. Sophomore Ke’ontae Springs ended the night with 2 touchdowns, one receiving and one on the ground. Junior Jayden Dir had a 95 yard kickoff return.
Next week Bonita Vista will look to notch their first win while traveling to Olympian. Madison will look to remain unbeaten, and faces a tough visit from Dixie High School out of St. George, Utah.

This week three matchup has the Bonita Vista Barons (0-2) traveling to face the Madison Warhawks (2-0). The matchup will take place at Madison High School this Friday, September 8th at 6:30 PM. Bonita Vista hopes to gain its first win of the season, while Madison tries to keep their loss column blank.
Bonita Vista is coming off of a tough loss last week, and they are looking to revert back to their State Championship caliber team. Robert Rios, who was carted off the field last week, was able to leave the hospital Friday night, and his status for this week as well as the rest of the season is something that needs to be monitored. First year Head Coach, Aaron Jones, will have the opportunity to face off against his former team and Coach Jackson. Jones knows Madison well, and has an advantage having worked with Coach Jackson.
Madison is coming off a strong victory against Steele Canyon last week. They saw large performances by a couple key players. Kenan Christon had 12 carries for 214 yards and 3 total touchdowns. Another key player for Coach Jackson has been Ke’ontae Springs. Springs has 219 yards on the ground and 3 touchdowns. This powerful duo will look to continue their winning ways this week and move on towards a potential state championship.
