Corvette Dine Alarm Clock Pep Rally Game: University City Centurions 61, Scripps Ranch Falcons 20

In the Corvette Diner Alarm Clock Pep Rally Game University City beats Scripps Ranch 61-20.

Centurions quarterback Gunnar Gray had four touchdowns in just the first quarter. He would finish the game 11 of 17 for 314 yards and six touchdowns. Gray spread the ball around. Marcel Patterson had an 85 yard touchdown off of a pass dumped off to him. He finishes the game with seven rushes for 99 yards. E'Lonie Rico would have two touchdowns in the first half including a 59 yard touchdown run off of a screen. He would have 130 yard rushing game. Casey Granfors would also have two touchdowns in the first half. The first he fought to the end zone on the pass from Gray and another he took the direct snap and ran in for the score. He finishes the game with five catches for 148 yards and three touchdowns.  

Scripps Ranch offense was stalled and defense couldn't find an answer. They did see Joseph Kabandauli score on a 62 yard kick off return. Quarter back Daniel Cox would also score in the first quarter off of a quarterback keep. 

University City improves to 3-0 on the season they will face La Jolla Country Day next week. As for the Falcons they drop to 0-3 and will look for their first win against Mira Mesa next week.

The Week 3 Corvette Diner Alarm Clock Pep Rally Game brings us to Scripps Ranch as they battle University City.

The Falcons are still looking for their first win on the season. They lost Week 1 to Valhalla and last week lost in overtime to Palm Springs. The Falcons have a new head coach in Marlon Gardinera. They also have a highly recruited talented offensive lineman/ defensive end in Dylon Hessenflow. Hessenflow can get pressure on the offense with his quickness and 6'4" size. Scripps Ranch is led by quarterback Daniel Cox. Last week running back Joe Kabandauli rushed for 141 yards and scored 2 TDs.

University City has started the season 2-0 with wins over Sweetwater and Monte Vista. The team is young but has been able to outscore opponents 74-27 over the two game span. Their sophomore quarterback Gunnar Gray has three touchdowns on the season. They also have a pair of tough running backs in E’Lonie Rico and Marcel Patterson. The two have combined for five touchdowns and 448 yards. This past week Patterson scored on an 88-yard kickoff return and had runs covering 27 and 42 yards.
