The Air Show is in town this weekend and I’m not talking about the Blue Angels; I’m talking about the other guys in blue— the Wolf Pack! West Hills (3-1) was hungry for their 4th straight win and proved they are top dog, winning tonight’s game against Serra High (2-1) 31-14.
With three huge yardage passing touchdowns and several big yard receptions for first downs, quarterback Jordin Young had the after burners going all night. The home team Conquistadors were nothing to shy away from either, starting the game off right with a 30 yard touch down pass from quarterback Timmy Zebroski to Mr. B.G. Gambles and putting them up 7-0.
West Hills answered the call, starting the second half off with a 65 yard bomb from Jordin Young to Cade Weaver, who would take it in for the score, tying us up at 7-7. Serra High wanted that lead back and took to the air again. This pass from Zebroski found Timmy Silvestri for a 35 yard touchdown, making it 14-7. End of the second quarter nearing, Conquistadors fumble on the hand-off and lone wolf Jared Hudson scoops it up and runs it back 40 yards to tie it up again at 14-14.
Early after the half, a quarterback sneak on the 1 yard line will put the Wolf Pack up 21-14. Later, Jordin Young, not done taking to the sky, finds powerhouse Cade Weaver again for a touchdown pass, this one going for 78 yards of pigskin goodness and bringing us to the final score of 31-14.
The seemingly unstoppable Wolf Pack move to 4-1 after tonight’s win. They will do battle against the Valhalla Norsemen on October 6th, following a bye week. The now 2-2 Conquistadors have a shot at a third win as they take to the road next week to National City to face the Sweetwater Red Devils (1-3).

PREVIEW: This Friday, September 22, the red hot West Hills Wolf Pack (3-1) riding a wave of momentum, will take to the road, looking for their fourth straight win. Having not lost a game since the season opener, Coach Casey Ash and his Wolf Pack will strive to improve upon an already winning formula. The Serra High School Conquistadors (2-1) will attempt to tame the Wolf Pack and add another victory to their win column, pushing their record to 3 and 1.
Defense is key as both Serra and West Hills have demonstrated a strong offense, capable of putting up solid points. The Conquistadors will have the option to utilize Quarterback Timmy Zebroski’s ability to move the ball quickly, or take advantage of Running Back Myles Bryant’s ground game. West Hills’ Ryan Jewell is a play-maker on both sides of the field; he’s picked off two interceptions at Full Safety and chalked up 83 receiving yards and a touchdown at Wide Receiver. Keep an eye out for this West Hills senior to pull off a crucial play for his Pack.
The teams square off under the lights at Serra High School at 6:30 pm.
